MICRODERMABRISION

Microdermabrasion is partially or completely removed by light abrasion, to remove sun-damaged skin and to remove or lessen scars and dark spots on the skin.
The procedure is not painful and requires no anesthetic. Microdermabrasion can be used medically for scar removal when the scar is raised above the surrounding skin. There is very little, if any, evidence that microdermabrasion stimulates collagen formation. Microdermabrasion can also be used for treatment of acne, but must be repeated periodically to be effective. Microdermabrasion should not be used on patients who have taken the medication Accutane in the previous twelve months.

What is Diamondskin microdermabrasion ?
The DiamondSkin microdermabrasion is a skin-revitalizing treatment that helps
repair skin that is damaged from the sun, scars, acne and the unwanted effects of aging. A trained
professional uses gentle abrasion and vacuum to remove the dead, outer layer of skin in order to
stimulate and reveal new healthy skin. This microdermabrasion System uses only the original crystal-free
Diamondgrit wands for precise and uniform results.

What is Skin Rejuvenation?
There are different methods of skin rejuvenation ranging from particle microdermabrasion to
chemical peels. The Diamond microdermabrasion achieves skin rejuvenation without the adverse effects of loose
particles, burning, or irritation utilizing patented crystal free technology.

How does the Diamond microdermabrasion system work?
DiamondPeel microdermabrasion machine using the original crystal-free Diamondgrit
wands removes the dead, outer layer of skin by gently exfoliating the skin with natural diamond chips,
while at the same time vacuuming the dead skin cells away in a clean and controlled manner.
Removing the outer layer of dead skin leaves a smoother texture and promotes the growth of healthy
new skin cells.

When to use Diamond microdermabrasion machine?
The Diamond microdermabrasion System is ideal for:
o Reduction of minor, early aging fine lines
o Minor scar revision
o Hyperpigmentation reduction
o Rejuvenation of overall skin health
o Reduction of acne scarring
o Age spots
o Sun Damage

Is it safe?
Yes, the Diamond microdermabrasion machine is a simple, non-invasive procedure
performed by a fully trained physician, nurse, or aesthetician. The risks of traditional
microdermabrasion are eliminated by using the crystal-free Diamondgrit wands, which are painless
and effective.

How will the patient look after the treatment? The patient's skin may look slightly flushed immediately after the treatment but should return
to normal in 10 to 30 minutes. Their skin will look and feel smoother even after the first treatment.

How long will it take to see results?
While the patient may see visible results after the first treatment, lasting and more significant
results will occur after 6 to 8 treatments spaced two weeks apart with a maintenance treatment every
two to three months.

Will the patient miss work or need to stay indoors?
The Diamondgrit microdermabrasion machine can easily be performed on their lunch hour
so they may return immediately to their normal activities. However, it is advisable to avoid direct sun
exposure or tanning for at least a few days after their treatment. A sunscreen is essential to use
afterwards since exfoliated skin has temporarily lost some of its natural protection to the environment.

What should the patient do after the treatment?
The physician, nurse, or esthetician will recommend a home skincare regime to maintain the
results of the patient's treatment.
