Dr. Shihab has over 12 years of extensive training in the field of laser research and technology. Dr. Shihab is also a member of the American Society for Laser Medicine and Surgery, and is the founder of Laser and Cosmedic   Academy(LCA). In addition, Dr. Shihab is the instructor at LCA and offers courses to many   Cosmedic  colleges in Canada and the USA.

Dr. Cooke was born in Jamaica and attended medical school in Kingston, Jamaica.  He did his general surgery residency in the UBC Program at Vancouver General Hospital and received his Canadian General Surgery Fellowship in the seventies.

He has been serving the residents of East Vancouver and Burnaby as a general surgeon on staff at the Burnaby Hospital since 1982. In the past few years he has pursued extensive training in vein sclerotherapy and cosmetic procedures including Botox and inject able facial fillers.  More recently Dr. Cooke has developed a special interest in laser lipo-sculpture and has pursued extensive training in laser assisted liposuction using the Smartlipo™ machine.

Dr. Cooke’s qualifications include:

·  A Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada

·  Associate member of the American Academy ofCosmetic Physicians

· Certification of completion of Laser Liposuction Work Shop by the American  Academy of Cosmetic Physicians

· Member of the Canadian Society of Phebology

Dr Cooke is now primarily interested in laser assisted liposuction using Smartlipo™ to help motivate clients who have been unable to get rid of fat deposits with diet and exercise.  Dr. Cooke has the most advanced Smartlipo™ MDX machine that is both faster and more effective to help you achieve your goals.

Gita is a registered nurse with many years of nursing experience at Vancouver General Hospital. She is also an active member of RNABC. She has also worked   in the  community with over 12 years of experience as a Nurse Manager in a  care facility, provided care to residence with Mental illness and substance abuse. She is trained to provide specialized foot care to the elderly and the disabled.

Sam - Business manager

Sam is responsible for business   and marketing  at Oakridge Laser & Skin Care Clinic. His past experience involves being director of publicly traded companies in NASDAQ and Canadian exchange. Worked as a consultant for   various companies. He has owned and operated chain of car rental  company and a specialty restaurant in Vancouver. He remains an active trader and an Accountant
